As a member of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid I have been working with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC for over 10 years. The Module M&C focuses on  surgical emergency treatment, needed by mothers & children. This group often reflects the most vulnerable in a case of disaster and crisis. My role within the team was to provide medical support, predominantly as a qualified theatre nurse.
